Calculating Podcasting Bandwidth Requirements

Essentially, the larger your audience, the larger the amount of bandwidth you will need. If your show gets a lot of people listening in, then you would need to pay more to your hosting company for that bandwidth.

Typically you will need about 1MB for every minute of your show. So, with a 30-minute podcast you will need 30MB for every show. If you do a podcast weekly and keep the last four podcasts stored on your server, then you will need at least 120MB of space.
