Why Does the Image Get Fuzzy When I Enlarge It?

Answer: Because unnecessary details have been extracted from the original image before it was posted. This is called image optimization. The file size in kilobytes has been reduced. Without optimization, the file would take much longer to download.

So when you enlarge an optimized image (pulled from the web, perhaps?), the details become fuzzy. There are not enough details there for the image to appear crisp at the larger size.

To avoid this, make sure the original image you select is high-definition — or at least large enough to be displayed at the dimensions you wish without distortion.
