Regularly backing up your Wordpress files is crucial in this world where everthing online can potentially be hacked.

Wordpress is a php-based program that can be particularly vulnerable. Several of my clients have had their Wordpress files attacked by Malware.

Luckily, each client had recent backups of their Wordpress files as well as copies of their databases.

In these cases, we had the hosting company isolate the infected Wordpress files to a separate directory, and then we were able to replace the blogs with the backed-up versions.

Most hosting companies provide backups, but it's also an excellent to keep backup copies of the entire blog and the corresponding database.

The Wordpress Duplicator Plugin is free and can easily be installed using your Wordpress dashboard.
